Reinterpreted scene



This is a simplified version of my first attempt at visualizing a training scene between the youngest brother and princess. It is vaguely fantasy styled, with large blocks of solid color.



This is my second interpretation on the entire scene. The setting is more futuristic as indicated by the gun and armor. I also decided to really restrict my palette to only blues and oranges. Blues are used for shadows and oranges are used for highlights. The orange mist pushes the blue trees deeper into the background, while emphasizing the detail in the characters. I also wanted to leave remnants of the loose sketching I did to create the layout. I thought it gave the image a much more kinetic feeling than the solid color and line work of the original.
